Mrs. Ruth Youngblood Greene, born January 7, 1922 in Shellhorn, AL died July 1, 2012 in Jonesboro, GA. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend J.C. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her sister Ona Myrle Davis, her 4 children Rosemary and Roy Middlebrooks, Louise and Andy Henn, Joe Carl and Michelle Greene, William and Anita Greene, her grandchildren David and Curtis Greene, Britney and Scott Hammock, Christopher Henn and her 3 great grandchildren Chaz Hammock, Hunter Hammock and Cody Hammock. She was preceded to heaven by her parents, Thomas and Marah Youngblood, a sister Evelyn Youngblood, 3 brothers Hebron, Motes and Hub Youngblood, her husband Joe Curtis Greene, and a granddaughter Michelle Henn. She loved Troy Alabama and was so proud to live here until circumstances lead her to Jonesboro Georgia; her heart was always in Troy. The biggest Smile would come to her face when she would see the Troy water tower when returning to Troy. She is now back home in Troy Active pallbearers will be Sam Kitchens, Doug Kitchens, William Davis, Herbie Davis, Rickey Davis and Dake Davis.
